I’m so excited to introduce you to our 1st seasonal sewing workshop in our Glasgow City Centre Studio! Here’s everything you need to know…

The Project:

In this sewing class I will teach you how to sew this Linen Ruffle Vest with adjustable ribbon tie sleeves. Perfect for Spring! You will be using a pattern that will be drafted prior to the class based on the measurements you provide and you will have a choice of linen fabrics to choose from. Learn all the essential sewing skills a beginner needs to get you sewing confidentally.

This class is suitable for beginners but if you are a seasoned sewer and just fancy coming along to learn how to to make this spring vest then I would love to have you!

11am - 4pm.

The workshop will take place in our studio space in Glasgow City Centre. It's a 15 minutes walk from Glasgow Central Station and around a 20 min walk from St Enochs underground station. Please note this is a shared space so do bring a mask to use when moving around the studio.

Class size: 4. I’ve decided to limit the class size to 4 students so that I can make sure I am able to spend enough teaching time with each student.

Class includes:

• A custom pattern made to fit your measurements that you will be able to take home at the end of the class to re use for future Spring Vest Projects.

• Linen fabric of your choice.

• Matching thread.

• Coffee and cake to see you through the day! (please feel free to bring lunch along too).

• Use of domestic sewing machines. Please note I have sewing machines in the studio for your to use during the class but if you would prefer to learn on your own machine you are more than welcome to bring it along with you.

Key dressmaking skills you will learn:

• How to read and use a pattern to create fabric pattern pieces.

• How to thread a sewing machine.

• Basic stitching using a sewing machine.

• How to finish your garment to a professional standard.
